Arts Education
Arts Providers
A key goal of Arts for All is to improve quality of teaching and learning.
Teaching artists and nonprofit arts education providers are vital partners in this initiative, and Arts for All offers a number of resources to deepen their work, supporting individual providers and bringing together the community as a whole:
- LAArtsEd.org, an interactive website containing:
- The Arts Education Program Directory, which connects quality, standards-based, vetted K-12 arts education programs to more than 94,000 teachers and administrators.
- Tools and Resources, a searchable database of local and national resources on systemic arts education, including all Arts for All school districts’ Board-adopted policies and plans for arts education.
- Arts Education Professinal Development, provides resources for high quality arts education professional development for K-12 educators. Find strategies to support building an arts learning community and providers to support it.
- Arts for All Coaches Training Program, a three-day professional development opportunity to prepare advanced education and/or arts education practitioners to provide customized support to Arts for All school districts through one-on-one coaching services. Deadline to apply is May 19, 2010.
- The Arts Education Roundtable, a venue and listserv for arts education organizations, teaching artists, and advocates to network, share best practices, and advance their knowledge of the field.
