Applying to the Organizational Grant Program (OGP)

The California Cultural Data Project Will Be A Mandatory New Part of the OGP Application Beginning in 2008/2009 – Begin Filling Out Your Profile Now

We are pleased to announce the January 4, 2008 launch of the California Cultural Data Project (California CDP). This project is the most ambitious and comprehensive effort ever to gather and analyze information about the contributions of the cultural sector to California's economy and quality of life. During the coming year, applicants to many California grant programs will be asked to participate in the California CDP. The Cultural Data Project gives arts organizations a standardized application process that over time will enable them to track and analyze their financial and organizational data and compare the information with that of their peers.

The California Cultural Data Project will be a required part of OGP applications beginning with 2009/2010 proposals. Do not wait to complete your data profile.

Get started with the California CDP - visit the Web site at www.caculturaldata.org today, call 866-922-5237, or email help@caculturaldata.org. Create an account by clicking on New User Registration. Review the online training and start your profile.

Application workshops dates for each category are listed below. Workshops are mandatory for new or recently declined applicants. The OGP II, 2.5 and III workshops will be held at the Los Angeles County Arts Commission offices, 1055 Wilshire Boulevard, Suite 800 in the large conference room. Location of OGP I workshops to be announced in September. Applications will be released in late August.
