Description

The Administrative and Production Intern will be an important member of BODYTRAFFIC’s core team and will help to maintain, assess and grow the administrative capacity and operations of the company’s education, outreach and performance programs. The intern will see all aspects of how a growing performing arts organization functions and creates on a daily basis, with emphasis on on-the-ground production experience. BT is looking for a dedicated, organized, and energetic student, who has a long-term interest in the performing arts. Individuals with experience in marketing, graphic design, written communications, and photo and video editing will stand out.  General computer skills are required, including but not limited to proficiency in Google Suite, Dropbox, Zoom, and all social media platforms. The Intern will work 15 hours a week, 3 days a week in-person at BODYTRAFFIC’s home studio in Koreatown from June-December 2025.  
 

Qualifications

Beyond the required qualifications of the grant program, competitive candidates for the Administrative and Production Internship will have:   1) Passion and respect for the performing arts, with a working knowledge of proscenium stage modern and contemporary dance  2) Excellent organizational and time management skills 3) Experience in or a strong interest in non-profit arts management 4) Knowledge of Mac/PC operating systems and proficiency in Google Office Suite, Microsoft Office, Mailchimp, Zoom, Canva, and Docusign  5) An active CA driver’s license, personal vehicle, and valid car insurance.   Students with event planning experience, including pre-planning, day of/on the ground support, and logistics are encouraged to apply. The Intern must demonstrate cultural sensitivity, and familiarity with the performing arts is a plus.
