Description

Boyle Heights Arts Conservatory is looking to add a creative, organized, and self-motivated intern to join as a Production Intern who will work with the Programs and Social Media team members  for approximately 15-20 hours per week from June to October supporting and contributing to the overall production process – from pre-production preparation, story development and scripting to field production logistics to post-production execution, supervision and delivery.  This internship will take place in-person in our Boyle Heights office and intern will have access to all photography, recording, editing, and studio tools.
 

Qualifications

Knowledge of digital and film recording equipment and editing software is highly desired. Proficient knowledge of Mac operating systems is preferable, as well as familiarity with social media marketing tools (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) and the Adobe Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator). The ideal intern will have the ability to create compelling short form videos and micro-content for digital platforms. A portfolio reflecting a strong understanding of short form narrative principles is preferred.   Knowledge of LA arts and cultural scene, diverse communities and neighborhoods are ideal.  Special considerations for formerly justice-impacted applicants.  Community and City College students highly encouraged to apply.
