If your agency does not have the time or resources to implement a full assessment but would still like to develop a better understanding of your capacity building offerings, their impact and full costs, below is a condensed assessment process that can be completed over three intensive meetings. Although the results will not be as comprehensive, this process can provide you with initial information that may help you make decisions about future capacity building efforts, such as a description of your capacity building offerings, the different capacity building topics and activities and how they are administered, and an estimate of time spent by staff or department. This process will require commitment and buy-in from key staff to prepare for, attend and discuss capacity building over the course of a several meetings.
