This workshop focuses on developing a public art design after it has been selected for a commission. We will consider strategic points of design development, including materiality, fabrication processes, engineering, and stakeholder and community input. Finally, from real-life examples, we consider how an artist can maintain the integrity of their design through a process that often holds competing design objectives.
