Blue13 seeks to hire a Marketing and Social Media Intern who will receive hands-on experience in developing and implementing social media, communications and production strategies and activities for the Global Majority disruptors of Blue13 Dance Company. The intern will take a leadership role in creating promotional materials for digital and print uses. Also, the intern will help to plan and create social media content, website updates, and some light graphics, film, photo and editing work if desired. This is a part-time internship from June 2024 to February 2025 for approximately 15 hours per week including some weekends and evenings.
The Marketing and Social Media Intern will have the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience in various aspects of arts administration. This internship will provide on-site exposure to the inner workings of Blue13 Dance Company and its programs, including the artist residency program (Playdate), the education program for Title-1 schools (American Kahani), and other large-scale performance events including a May engagement at Heritage Square Museum.
Working closely with the Associate Artistic Director and the Digital Content Manager, the intern will play a pivotal role in both production logistics and communications. On the production side, they will assist with coordinating logistics for Blue13's programs and events, gaining practical experience in event planning and execution. This may involve tasks such as scheduling, coordinating with artists and venues, organizing and logging costumes and props, and ensuring smooth operations during performances.
