Description

Assist our instructors and students in various aspects of the creation of ceramic art.   Enjoy observing and learning from our skilled instructors while helping to support their teaching efforts. The ideal candidate for this position is someone with some knowledge of ceramics and a passion to learn more. Extensive experience is not required. This position will work approximately 20 hours a week from June through September.
 

Qualifications

The successful candidate must be interested in community arts programming. He/she/they must be able to work independently as well as cooperatively and possess excellent writing and speaking skills. Previous experience in Ceramics is preferred but not required. 
 

Background

McGroarty Arts Center provides access to the arts through in-depth arts instruction and experiences. Affordable multidisciplinary arts education is offered to at-risk youth, children, and families, as are performances, exhibitions,and events that engage the greater public. The Center is a venue for artists to present their work, while preserving the legacy of John Steven and Ida McGroarty and their historic home.
