The Public Programs Intern will work closely with the LARB team to help produce LITLIT, the Little Literary Festival, which celebrates West Coast literary arts and publishing every fall, in addition to our full calendar of magazine launches, editorial salons, and more. The intern will help develop these programs and support the LARB team by communicating with writers, vendors, and venues, in addition to collaborating on digital marketing strategies and promotions of the event. This position will work approximately 15-20 hours per week from June through November.
—Excellent reading, writing, and proofreading skills —Interest in literature and/or the arts —Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Wordpress, Mailchimp, Canva, and database maintenance a plus. —Experience working at public events or in a public-facing capacity, such as at a store or restaurant is an asset.

A vibrant, multimedia platform, LARB exists to cover, represent, and shape today’s literary and artistic landscape in a manner that reflects Los Angeles's cultural style and embrace of diversity. LARB produces public events at venues around Los Angeles celebrating local writers and artists and independent publishing on the West Coast.
