The intern position for the San Fernando Valley Master Chorale will begin training in August 2025. Starting in September 2025, the intern will attend SFVMC's Monday evening 2-hour rehearsals in addition to daytime office hours. The schedule will include working 15 hours Monday/Wednesday/Thursday from August 2025 through April 2026.
A love of music is important, although not a requirement for this internship. The intern candidate should be able to work collaboratively on a team, take direction, solve problems, and have good listening skills. It would be advantageous if the intern candidate had experience in the visual arts, photography, and videography, plus some technical knowledge in that area. However, a willingness to learn and a desire to participate is probably even more important, as knowledge can be acquired.
The San Fernando Valley Master Chorale is a community, semi-professional performing arts organization that sings choral masterworks, contemporary choral works, gospel, and world music. We strive to engage the general public with accessible music while also giving a platform for new works to be performed.
