ENCORE is seeking an intern with some theater experience for the Marketing, Production, and Instruction role. The position runs from June 2025 through mid-August at approximately 30-40 hours per week, and continues at 10-15 hours per week from August through February 2026. The intern will provide marketing support for all programs by managing social media promotions and creating print ads. Familiarity with graphic design tools like Canva or Adobe products, as well as skills in video production and editing, are a plus. The role also involves assisting during rehearsals and camps, supervising groups of younger students, and offering production support backstage (costumes, props, sets) or front-of-house assistance (box office, concessions) during performances. Experience in or near theater, familiarity with Microsoft and Google programs, excellent customer service, and strong communication skills are essential.
The successful candidate will be highly organized, able to work comfortably in a fast-paced environment, and adept at managing a variety of personalities. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills are essential. The candidate should have strong working knowledge of Microsoft and Google programs, as well as familiarity with Adobe and Canva software. Excellent customer service and communication skills are a must, along with the ability to work well with children. Experience in or around musical theater is required. Experience with social media and marketing content creation is a plus, or the candidate should have a strong desire to learn these aspects of managing a small business or theater company. Additionally, the intern will assist in the day-to-day operations of running a theater program, including developing marketing materials, processing student enrollments, creating and selling tickets, answering emails and phone calls, and contributing ideas as part of the planning team.
