Description

The FPAC Internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in arts management and cultural programming. Interns will work approximately 20-30 hours per week from June to October 2025, contributing to the planning and execution of the 31st Festival of Philippine Arts and Culture. This internship provides invaluable experience in event planning, community engagement, and cultural advocacy, deepening ones' understanding of Filipino American culture.
 

Qualifications

Required or Preferred Qualifications for FPAC Intern:  Passion for Filipino American culture: A genuine interest in and appreciation for Filipino American arts and culture. Strong organizational skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills: Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Understading of Tagalog a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Social media skills: Experience using social media platforms like Facebook, Tiktok and Instagram and understanding of digital marketing. Basic graphic design skills: Proficiency in graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Canva) is a plus. Interest in event planning: Experience or interest in planning and organizing community and cultural events. While not strictly required, experience in the arts, cultural programming, or nonprofit sector would be beneficial.
 

Background

FILAM Arts is a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing Filipino American culture. We provide resources, platforms, and community for Filipino American artists and culture bearers. Our annual Festival of Philippine Arts and Culture celebrates its' 31st year on September 13, 2025 in Point Fermin Park in San Pedro, showcasing the rich diversity of Filipino American artistic expressions.
