The Los Angeles County Department of Arts and Culture has three grant applications opening in the next few weeks—the Organizational Grant Program (OGP), Community Impact Arts Grant (CIAG), and Arts Internship Program (AIP). But, just what are these programs, and who do they serve? Glad you asked! Read on…
- The Organizational Grant Program (OGP) provides Los Angeles County nonprofit arts organizations with funding to address priority needs and to ensure cultural services for the diverse communities that comprise LA County. These two-year grants support arts organizations whose services positively impact residents, neighborhoods and communities by providing direct access and increased opportunities for quality arts activities and programming that is often free or low cost.
http://bit.ly/33O424L - The Community Impact Arts Grant (CIAG) program recognizes the value of the arts as a vital tool for problem solving across a range of areas and supports arts programming which takes place at nonprofit social service and social justice organizations, municipal departments and institutions of higher education as part of a larger mission to provide services to individuals and communities.
http://bit.ly/33RtVjU - The Arts Internship Program (AIP), established by the LA County Board of Supervisors in 2000, provides internships for nonprofit performing, presenting, literary and municipal arts organizations as a companion program to the Getty Multicultural Internship Program, which provides internships to museums and visual arts organizations and provides undergraduate students with meaningful on-the-job training and work experience. This program was expanded in 2017 through a recommendation from the Cultural Equity and Inclusion Initiative (CEII), with a special emphasis to reach community college students.
