Program summer internship position is available from June to August- September, for 30-40 hrs. a week. Theatre Of Hearts/Youth First, a 35 yr. old mid-size arts education non-profit organization providing multidisciplinary standards based Youth First Artist-In-Residence Programs for underserved at-promise youth ages 4-24 County-wide.
Reliable, honest, and a self-starter Excellent verbal, written, critical thinking and computer skills; Willing to travel to various sites in LA County: following Public Health Protocols Detail-oriented and able to multi-task Excellent time management skills Proficient with Mac OS and MS Office applications A car, proof of insurance, valid Driver’s License Pass a background check, Negotiable A Plus: Knowledge of ZOOM and Microsoft Team, File Maker Pro, Constant Contact, Social Media platforms. Some knowledge of the Performing Arts as a participant or a lover of the Arts.
Program Intern: Discover the inspirational rewards of working in a creative non-profit environment at a busy midsize arts education organization with the mission to prevent and intervene in youth violence by involving youth ages 4-24 and their families in ongoing, high quality, standards based, multidisciplinary arts education workshops. The intern will understand why communities are often neglected and the negative consequences it can have on the health and well-being of individuals living there and why arts education bridges these inequities and foster social inclusion and empowerment.
