Background

VOX Femina Los Angeles is LA’s premier women’s choir, with social justice at the heart of its mission. Recognized throughout the US for its excellent musicianship and culturally diverse repertoire, the ensemble fulfills its mission to ‘give women voice’ through a vigorous schedule of performances, touring, and music education programs. Throughout its 27 years, VOX has remained committed to commissioning new works, collaborating with 40 composers on over 50 commissions since its founding.   VOX’s Music Education programs reach over 3000 public school students per year through both in-person and digital content.   “Under the expert direction of Dr. Iris S. Levine, the voices are gorgeous, the production is excellent and the performances are top notch. This group is a precious gem in the musical crown of Los Angeles. May they continue for another 20 years.” --Jeff Slayton, See Dance News
