The Volunteer Support Intern works closely with the YS Volunteer Team to support the recruitment, training, and placement of volunteers in our elementary, middle, and high school programs. Young Storytellers LACAC Interns will begin in August or September 2024 and will work 400 hours before March 1, 2025 with an average of 16-20 hours per week. The Young Storytellers team operates on a hybrid work schedule with some days remote and some days in-office in DTLA; we ask that our interns join us in-office at least two times a week.
Strong verbal and written communication skills. Experience working with volunteers and/or volunteer-based programs preferred. Facilitation skills preferred. Good time management skills. Experience with Google Suite, and specifically Google Sheets, preferred. The ability to handle sensitive personal information with integrity. Knowledge of or interest in the nonprofit and/or education sector is preferred. A willingness to learn and grow.
