An Arts Administration Intern at International City Theatre will assist with administrative tasks at a long-running, nonprofit professional theatre organization. This role offers practical experience in the everyday workings of a professional theatre company and provides valuable skills applicable across various career paths. You’ll collaborate closely with a dedicated team of enthusiastic and supportive arts professionals, gaining insights into the industry while contributing to our vibrant organization. If possible, this will be a full-time internship, 40 hours per week for 10 weeks from June to August.  
 

Qualifications

An Arts Administration Intern candidate should be a proactive and motivated individual who seeks to learn and develop new skills in a professional and collaborative environment. Candidates should demonstrate strong analytical and creative thinking abilities, clear and effective communication, and a high level of organization and attention to detail. While proficiency in computer applications and administrative tasks is required, a fundamental knowledge of graphic design is advantageous, and a solid understanding of data analysis and good writing skills is essential. We value individuals who bring enthusiasm and a positive attitude to their work, are committed to personal growth, and value teamwork.

International City Theatre (ICT) proudly serves as Long Beach's official resident professional theatre company. Celebrating our 40th year serving Long Beach in 2025, ICT has garnered over 500 professional awards and premiered 90 new works. Dedicated to community engagement through both entertainment and education, ICT presents 5 mainstage productions each year and offers 6 educational programs, making theatre accessible to all residents of Long Beach and surrounding communities, from age 4 to 104.
