Description

The Theatre Arts Education Intern will primarily support Garry Marshall Theatre’s youth educational programs for their 2025 theater summer camp sessions. Responsibilities include assisting with classes for students ages 8 to 17, supporting educational program administrative tasks, participating in strategic planning meetings, supporting program planning and curriculum development, and aiding outreach and enrollment strategies.The position will work 30-40 hours per week in person from June 2nd through August 29th, 2025.
 

Qualifications

Desired qualifications: An interest in youth arts and theater education, curriculum development, arts administration, and a passion for education for ages 8 to 17. Familiarity with theater elements, such as performance, design, theater technology and/or stage management and basic understanding of theater concepts and terminology, with some practical experience in performance or production. Ability to manage multiple tasks and stay organized in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Experience in creating documents and spreadsheets using basic computer applications.  Preferred qualifications: Teaching experience with children or teens. Experience in creating educational materials and/or curriculum for theater topics. Outreach or community engagement related to the arts.
