Description

Arts Project Specialist is a position for a youth that likes to work with high school students as well as diverse group of people.  They must like people, be creative, likes learning and figuring things out in terms of working with staff and promotion materials. UCC works with a diverse community, particularly the majority of clients we serve are Cambodian elders and youth through various social services The main program that the intern is going to be working on is Living Arts Long Beach, which is an after school art program that teaches different art disciplines to high school youth as well as soft skills, team building leadership skills as well as as violence prevention.  We also provide different jobs to community members and resources such as housing, economic support and those other areas of social services. This position will work 15-20 hours a week from June to February.
 

Qualifications

This person should be outgoing and enjoys working with team and youth.  The intern we're looking for is somebody who is fun, loves to work with youth and diverse community, enjoys the arts and working with the people.  They must be able to take direction while being a team player and a person who knows how to have fun, as well as to be able to learn about other cultures.  It would be helpful if they are familiar with using a computer, internet, Canva/Adobe Creative Suites if possible to design for promotional things in a computer or doing things by hand.
