Description

CLA is seeking an enthusiastic Social Media & Special Projects intern to work 15-20 hours per week from July 2025 through December 2025. The intern will work with our team in devising and implementing unique marketing and outreach initiatives and will also work on designing promotional materials and creating social media and traditional media content promoting our programs and services to emerging artists and arts organizations.
 

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have some experience with graphic design and social media content management, as well as strong attention to detail, excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to complete a variety of tasks with competing deadlines. This opportunity is ideal for someone interested in pursuing a career in marketing, graphic design, development, fundraising or non-profit administration. The intern need not have legal or law school experience – only a sincere interest in the arts, legal services, and our mission. The ideal candidate will bring a start-up energy – being flexible with their tasks, capable of working collaboratively and independently, and showing initiative and creative thinking. A sense of humor is always appreciated.

California Lawyers for the Arts is a non-profit arts service organization founded in 1974 to empower the creative community by providing education, representation and dispute resolution to artists and arts organizations. Currently celebrating our 50th anniversary, our vision is that artists and arts organizations serve as agents of civic involvement, innovation, and positive social change. We believe that the growth of an empowered arts sector is essential to healthy communities. CLA’s leadership and services strengthen the creative disciplines by articulating a role for the arts in community development.
