Description

Under the supervision of the Executive Director, the Film Programs Intern’s primary project will be supporting our film programs - our Film Festival and Voices for Change. Our Film Festival promotes emerging filmmakers whose films advocate for girls' and women's rights globally, and Voices for Change raises awareness of the struggles and triumphs of women and girls around the globe.  The internship will be primarily remote and take place between August 2025 and February 2026. The intern will be expected to work about 15 hours a week from August to February, with some flexibility with scheduling their hours, particularly around holidays and school breaks.
 

Qualifications

- First and foremost, the intern should be passionate about women’s and girls’ rights, and believe in the power of film to effect social change. - Ability to proficiently and fluently navigate basic computer tasks is required (emailing, typing, etc.) - Ability to professionally communicate and represent Women’s Voices Now to external audiences is required. - Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and ask questions when unsure is a must. - Ability to be flexible, adapt, and “roll with the punches” with a positive attitude is a must. - Desire to be a part of a small, close-knit, and passionate team, working collaboratively at all times, is a must. - A background or passion for filmmaking is a plus.
 

Background

Women’s Voices Now uses film to drive social change that advances women’s and girls’ rights globally.  We carry out our mission through our three core programs: a hybrid women’s rights film festival, our youth development program, and our free, online film collection (Voices for Change).
