In 2017, the Board of Supervisors expanded the number of positions funded through the Arts Internship Program as part of the Cultural Equity and Inclusion Initiative (CEII) in recognition of the unique role that workforce development opportunities like the Arts Internship Program play in addressing the continued disparities of equity and access to arts careers. The Board stipulated that the additional positions be reserved for community college students, emphasizing inclusivity of those from communities that experience barriers to arts access.
Below, is a list of all 35 organizations who have at least one position which must be filled by a community college student in the 2024 program.
The below list includes all Community College host organizations - if you do not currently see their internships on the list, it is possible the internships will launch in an upcoming month so please check back. Prospective interns from the Community Colleges should not feel limited to submitting applications only to these organizations, please apply to any positions of interest.
