The Visual Arts Program Intern will support the production of APCH’s annual Comic Art and Literacy Expo (CALE). This is a great opportunity for an entrepreneurial individual to build skills and experience around event planning and management, graphic design, community engagement through art, and education, all while serving the South Central Los Angeles community. Intern will work between 15 and 20 hours a week from August through March.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for art and creativity, a strong ability to solve problems decisively, and should enjoy working with young people alongside a dedicated team of teaching artists. Applicants should have a drive to learn digital media software and exhibition and event logistics.

APCH's Visual Arts Program encourages students to express their creativity; use the arts as a vehicle for personal development; instill respect for all cultures; and provide intensive preparation for students interested in pursuing the arts professionally*. APCH provides after school programming and wraparound support for about 700 youth, ages 8 - 24, and about 12,000 community members every year.
