Digital Dreamers Teaching Assistant Are you passionate about digital media and eager to inspire the next generation of artists? Join our Digital Dreamers Internship Program as a Teaching Assistant (TA) and help shape the future of digital art, graphic design, animation, and video gaming. Role: As a TA, you'll work closely with experienced instructors to guide and mentor high school students, fostering their creativity and technical skills. Commitment: Approximately 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. 1. Digital Media Expertise: A strong foundation in digital media, including graphic design, animation, and video gaming, with a solid understanding of industry-standard software and tools. 2. Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated proficiency in software applications such as Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, 2D animation, 3D Maya, Blender, Lightroom, and InDesign. 3. Effective Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively mentor and support students in a classroom setting. 4. Teaching Experience: Preferred experience as a teaching assistant, instructor, or mentor, particularly in digital arts or related fields. 5. Creative Portfolio: A portfolio showcasing the intern's own digital media, graphic design, animation, or video gaming work is highly encouraged and can serve as an inspiring example for students.
Our Digital Dreamers program offers a comprehensive one to two-year training program in Digital Media Design at Coastline Community College. Participants can earn a Certificate or Associates Degree, preparing them for careers in various fields, including print and graphic design, digital media business, animation and gaming graphics, web design, and more. All coursework is designed to align with an ongoing AA-to-BA degree sequence in Digital Media Design, providing students with opportunities for further education and career development.
