WORDTheatre, a 501(c)(3) non-profit literary arts organization, is seeking an intern to provide both creative and logistical assistance to the development of our upcoming live programs for the general public and for Title I students engaged in our WORDTheatre Campus programs. Working closely with our Artistic Director and Executive Coordinator, the Event Planning Intern will write and release official correspondences, communicate with important third-party contacts, and contribute to WORDTheatre's online presence as it relates to our programming. This position will work 30-40 hours a week from June to September.
Current enrollment in an undergraduate program preferably in a field such as theater, management, communications, English/writing, business, entertainment, or a related area. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent research and analytical skills. Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities. Proficiency in Google Drive, Sheets, Docs, Excel, and Microsoft Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Canva), and strong literacy skills Demonstrated passion for the WORDTheatre’s mission and values. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Adaptability and a willingness to learn and grow in the field of nonprofit development.
